Scholarship information will be posted on the website throughout the school year. New scholarships will be listed as soon as the information becomes available. The listings will provide eligibility and deadline information. Some scholarship applications will be available in Guidance. Many organizations offering scholarships, will request that students apply online. Whenever possible, links to scholarships will be provided on the CVHS website. Some scholarship applications may need to be given to Mrs. Wendt for processing. In such a case, the due date will be earlier than that which is listed on the application. Other applications must go directly to the organization sponsoring the scholarship. It is important to note that some scholarships and contests may be open to students at all grade levels.

THE CHRISTERMON FOUNDATION BEVERAGE INDUSTRY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP Since 1988, $4 million dollars in college scholarships have been awarded to graduating high school or transferring community college students who will attend a four-year college/university in the U.S. beginning with the Fall semester of their graduating year. Student application must be affialiated with the California licensed beverage industry through a parent or grandparent current employment with a company holding a valid liquor , beer or wine license; retailers/airlines/restaurants/hotels/suppliers/distributors/breweries/wineries, etc., are but a few that qualify! METRO PCS COMMUNITY SCHOLARS MetroPCS and Kyocera are awarding a $25,000 grand prize scholarship, eighty-three $2,500 local market scholarships and a Kyocera phone with one year of free MetroPCS service to high school seniors that get involved in their community. CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF COLLECTORS, INC. The California Association of collectors is offering a scholarship for all California high school seniors for their use at any accredited college, university or vocational school. The scholarship is based upon a simple one-page application and an essay on "Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Credit During Your College Years." First Award - $2,500 Second Award - $2,000 Third Award - $1,500 Entries must be postmarked by February 1, 2010. Applications are available in Guidance.
SANTA MARGARITA WATER DISTRICT (JIM MIZELL MEMORIAL WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM) The Santa Margarita Water District invites all high school seniors living within SMWD's service area to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is designed for students whose educational plans or career path include attention to water related issues, and is intended to encourage students to pursue scientific, financial and/or environmental education in the United States. DISNEYLAND RESORT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Graduating seniors may be eligible for a scholarship through the Disneyland Resort Scholarship Program. This program reinforces the legacy of the Disneyland Resort and its commitment to community support while enhancing and providing opportunities for educational advancement. Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in volunteerism, exceptional leadership within their communities and academic excellence. Ten scholarships will be awarded with a value of $5,000 each. Students must meet the following criteria:

WILLIAM S. DAVILA SCHOLARSHIP FUND The scholarship is for seniors who are working in the food industry for sons and daughters of parents working in the food industry. The food industry is defined as retail supermarket companies, manufacturers, brokers or distributors of food products sold in retail food stores. Individuals working in a fast food or regular rstaurant are not eligible to apply. Application materials are available at www.sms.scholarshipamerica.org/davila. All applications must be postmarked by January 20, 2010.
CALIFORNIA STATE PTA SCHOLARSHIP The California State PTA offers high school senior scholarships in the amount of $500 to acknowledge the achievement of high school seniors for volunteer service in their school and community.
